I know they have outdoor seating but I have never seen a dog there nor have I ever read anything about them being dog friendly. I believe Crazy Fish in Port St. Joe has outdoor seating that is dog friendly.
It probably got water in it but the building is standing. ...all broaded up.
$1 or $2 off beer I thought.
Beware!!!! They steal your money by overpricing you on substituted items WITHOUT telling you first. A $14.99 special turned into a $28 plate!!! The owner could care less about your complaint and did not care to fix it. Horrible way to do business in such a lovely town.
Interesting find. It took a while to be seated. It was a little hot and tight in there as well. However, the food was good and the waiter was friendly. Would recommend!
Cheerful server but everything else was a terrible experience. Food was not good. Everyone in our group that got fried food was sick that night.
Cozy and fun little place. Great service. I got greeted with a big smile when I walked in.
Diverse menu, delicious food and friendly staff. We went as a party of 8 and had a great experience!
Fantastic oysters and burgers! Great ice cream too! Was disappointed we were told their "food elevator" was broken on our last night there (wanted to eat there again), drove to Krazyfish (20 min away and ok food), only to see Coneheads packed out on our drive back.
Been visiting the Cape for years. Always order food from Cone Heads—typically our go to!! This year, total disappointment. Stood at the bar and watched the to-go waitress hit end on the phone calls for to-go orders. This was on a Thursday when the restaurant was empty. Oysters were served in a soup of toppings with no shells— could have been from a can and been better. Server was a total witch when we addressed our concerns. The other 1/2 of our party ate at Skully’s and ate 1.5 hours before us and had an AMAZING experience. Do NOT waste your time at Cone Heads— ho straight to Skull’s!!
Great food, great people. Oysters are out of this world. FYI, this place can get very busy during high season which I believe is the reason for most of the negative reviews.
We have been eating here for years everytime we visit CSB. Sometimes the service is terrible and sometimes it's great. Today it was great. The food is always good. Expect a wait during the high season. Portions won't disappoint. I suggest getting there as soon as they open for the best experience.
I had the best experience at this place! We ordered the special which was grouper with grits. The food was delicious! Haven’t gotten a good piece of grouper like this in a while.
Had to wait to be seated because busy. No different than any other place that's good. They are friendly and the food is great. We really liked the grilled shrimp.
BEST RESTAURANT! I love this place, family owned and operated by locals who love their slice of heaven. Please give this place some love, you won't regret it
Good and service was excellent! Ice cream was a favorite after meal treat!
The oysters were out of this world
The best dinner yet. Appetizers of Mexican Bean Dip and Oysters Rockefeller. Dip was missing flavor (lime juice?). Rock was incredible. If you served it with French bread or hush puppies to soak up the baked juices I would have cancelled the rest of my food right there. But then I would have missed an incredible clam chowder and well made tossed salad. Family's top entrees was the scallop basket, garden salad add scallops, and BLT. Great time. Will visit again!
Service was very poor. Server gave attention to tables with alcohol but not our table with kids. She also didn't tell us that soda and teas did not have free refills. So when my half filled soda gets a "refill" you are charged another $2.79. Even my husband's tea was charged another $2.79. it was a big surprise on our bill. I had to wait awhile for my to go order as server was busy with other tables and the other server wouldn't even check on it. Kids almost didn't get their ice cream cause server was too busy for us. Food was decent but the experience would keep me from coming back.
I don't know if it was because I was starving, the burgers were amazing. I'm not a burger/sandwich person and I loved the surf and turf burger. Everyone else at the table had burgers as well and were raving over them. We all took pieces of pie home and I'm sure that will be amazing too! Highly recommend this place.
Nice beach atmosphere and cool staff. Get the shizzle shrimp appetizer.
The waitress has a bad attitude. When you get to the location they tell you to leave and call to place order. Hot mess.. I purchased a mixed drink and it didn’t taste good, waitress told be to purchase another drink if I didn’t like it. Bad customer service.
Nice friendly staff. A little pricey but considering its location its understandable
Good food. Good beer. Good music. Good ice cream. What else do you need.
Would give it 3.5 stars. Ate here last week while on vacation. I got the shrimp po-boy which was very good. Had lots of shrimp on it and the seasoning was very good. Tarter sauce was very good. The wife got the fried oyster basket and it had a lot of oysters in it. Fries were good as well. Not a bad little place to get a bite to eat if you are in the area. Sat at the little bar they had and got a shock top on draft. Not much parking. Right next to the state park entrance.
Really only pizza place on the cape which is unfortunate. Left much to be desired. The attached picture is supposed to be a large pizza. Like a 5x7 pizza for $20. Wish we wouldn't have paid an extra $2.50 for sausage because it was barely sprinkled on. First time for getting pizza there. Better go with something else.
A little expensive, lacked personality, salads were fresh, hush puppies were so-so, service was mediocre.
Loved the experience and had one of the best hamburgers I’ve had in a long time.
Burgers are top-notch and the ice cream is scrumptious to boot. Great local restaurant with flair.
Not worth it during COVID. Our group tried on two separate occasions to order from them, but both times it was impossible to get through to them on the phone. Don't bother going in person, either - they'll refuse to take your order and tell you to call
I understand some things will be difficult trying to do business while the pandemic restrictions start to ease, but our experience was absolutely horrific. Horrible service. Couldn't order a drink after waiting 30min. No care in the world from the bartender, no acknowledgement. Hostess could not care less. Decided to just order food to go.... 1 hour later finally got it. No apologies.Update: However the food was really good. Order it to go and pick it up an hour later.
Family friendly and laid back with good food to suit many tastes (the cheeseburger is a must), good ice cream, homemade key lime pie. The kids meals are served on a frisbee which was a big hit with the kids in our party. We went an hour before closing on a weeknight at the end of the summer season and there were only a couple of other tables in there being served. The waitress was very nice and the service was good. I’ll be sure to visit again!
We enjoyed some great burgers and po-boys, right on the Cape. You should stop in one afternoon/evening and enjoy a local meal!
1.5 hours. Still no food. Management is terrible. I order “Raw Oysters” 90 minutes for appetizers is stupid. No Management at this place. And consistency of food does matter. They are living on being the only place open after the storm.
Went once a year ago and it was bad. A customer from out of town actually was so kind to help them bus their tables. Thought we’d give them a second chance on this vacation. Big mistake...
Was waiting to be seated here and was told an hour wait. Sat in the car due to it raining and our spot was given up. When we came back inside, we waited another 20 minutes with an open table in sight. 5 person party walked in and were taken immediately to the open table over our party of four who had been waiting AN HOUR! Don’t waste your time coming to be treated this way!
The website shows a place that is clean and inviting. The online menu shows and describes a great variety of delicious and attractive dishes. Neither is the case. The reality is a sad shadow of the place and of the food that is still being showcased on a very well done website, and that may have once been, but is sadly long gone. The remnants of Cone Heads is on the level of a dive. The people are nice, but that only goes so far. I’m truly sorry to say that Cone Heads is a must skip.
Good food and service. Kind of far from our inn but worth the drive
Disappointing, much better spots over at port st joe
Amazing food and great service!
Coneheads....five stars are not enough for this restaurant. A perfect 10 is more like it!! Best food on the Cape hands down. The oysters are a must for an appetizer or meal...The three years we've been coming here, I think we've had everything on the menu and has always been cooked to perfection. Very friendly, great food, wonderful atmosphere and love their Instagram page. So, if you're heading to the Cape, please put this on list to do, I promise they will not let you down!!
Very personable. Very attentive service. Fresh, appetizing, and appealing is the food. Really delicious.
They are still coming back from Hurricane Michael but great service and great venue.
Grilled scallops were delicious. Service was good and it was very close to where we were staying. Wonderful fresh seafood.
Excellent food, staff was very nice!
Cone heads is back up and running. We were able to go the week they opened back up. Very friendly and accommodating servers. Superb food. The menu is great. I can't wait to try something else. Make sure you stop in for food, ice cream, drinks, or a shirt.
Excellent food with friendly service. We had the shrimp basket "best shrimp I've ever had in my life" from the person who ate it), fish basket -grilled and fried - outstanding, and the Surf and Turf burger - incredibly delicious! You will NOT be disappointed!
Horrible experience, came in with a family of 6 and left with a bad taste in our mouths, not worth the wait
Great fried shrimp, decent hushpuppies, good, polite, clean service. Only eaten their food twice, but I want more already.
Tried calling several times to order take out order. No one answered. Drove to the restaurant and was told they only do take out orders over the phone. We said we tried to call multiple times. The hostess rudely responded that they are too busy to answer the phone. The restaurant was half empty on a Tuesday night.
Very unprofessional and the hostess has no concept of time. Told 40 minutes and still waiting after 100 minutes. The owner didn’t really seem to care, I guess since they are the only thing open to eat on this island.
Little bar and grill at the end of the cape. Eaten there several times and the food is always fresh and tasty. Lots of seafood choice but other options for land lovers. Plan for a slower pace and a potentially a wait for a table.
The service is amazing. Every single one of the ladies that helped us went above and beyond. I am sorry if I didn't get everyone's name but Grace was my server, Cloe (sorry if I spelled it wrong) was the bartender and carry out attendant, Kelly was our busses and delivery girl, and the woman who was the manager, front house attendant, and ice cream server was the best! This was my first time here. With short staff after the Corona and the abundance of tourist, these women were right on point. If you do not get there at open, expect to wait an hour at least for your table. Grab a drink and have a seat on the lower outside patio and you will not be upset. The food and drinks are worth the wait. I will be back in September. Thank you for asking my first trip to the cape amazing. Foods you must try: 30E Rockefeller oysters, surf and turf burger (the best on the menu), crab legs, and wonton shrimp.
